Data Communication
GSM/GPRS Wireless Data

The Power Donut2™ with GSM/GPRS cell phone technology eliminates the need for local ground stations. Data is communicated directly to a central receiving station, be that system control or any other data center.
PC to User Environment

The PC software permits the user environment to communicate with the Power Donut2™ system in several ways:

  - OPC is an available PC software protocol

  - ModBus is an available PC software protocol

  - USi publishes the "basic" ASCII protocol for retrieving data from the PC. (This option is available for those customers who wish to write their own application software.)

  - The Ground Station can be connected via: dial up modem, leased line, and/or by Ethernet - hardwire or wireless with the user's environment
